Offer support to communities in need

When you were a child you used to spend many of your holidays in the countryside, at you grandparents’. You may nostalgically remember the mud in the narrow streets or the sunset that brought home the cows. You wish that some things remained the same, while you wish others would change for better.

If you ever wanted to help and didn’t know how, or you didn’t have the time or confidence, Foundation PACT now tries to make available to you some simple and trustworthy ways for you to help people build a better life for themselves.

Maybe you will not be able to provide drinking water for 100 households, to build a medical unit or to renovate the club. But if you still believe in the idea of a community and in your power of making a change or helping others change the world they live in, you will definitely be able to do SOMETHING.

You can offer support through individual donations for one or more projects proposed by simple people from villages in the South of the country.

In our attempt to make things as simple as possible both for the donor and the receiver, the www.ajutaonline.org site launched and managed by Foundation PACT gives the individual donors the possibility to identify and to financially support a community, a project or a social cause, within a protected and secured online system.

Here you will find community projects that need your support, next to other projects which have already been financed and are currently running or which have been ended with success. For every project description you will find the following information: the name of the project, the organization/initiative group that has come up with the project, the period proposed for implementation and the necessary amount of money. Going further to details you will find more information about the community where the project takes place, about the initiative group who proposed the project and about the local partners and beneficiaries.

If you are a legal person, the amount you offer can be deduced as sponsorship out of the income tax (according to the sponsorship law and the fiscal code) up to 3‰ out of the annual turnover and a maximum of 20% out of the income tax. In order to benefit from fiscal deductions, you may request a sponsorship contract at info@ajutaonline.org.

You can support more than one project; you can donate in USD, Euro or RON, once or several times for the same project. The sums of money necessary for the projects and the donated amounts are not large – what is really important is mobilizing resources on both sides and the fact that people who never knew each other can achieve something together.

We intend to have many successfully implemented projects!

How else can you donate? Through bank transfer into the account of Foundation PACT, opened at BANCPOST S.A. - University Branch, IBAN RO34BPOS70606197144RON02. Foundation PACT will send this money further to the community groups and will supervise the activities within the communities. What happens with your money? Foundation PACT will keep you informed regarding the development of activities within the communities and the way your money was spent on what. We also invite you in our communities to see the impact your contribution may have.

If you wish to support people who want to make positive changes in their lives and in the communities they live in, you can offer consultancy or training - depending on your skills or those of the firm you work for, you can directly assist community projects running in the localities we work in.

How can you become a volunteer? Write an email, make a phone call or pay us a visit at the Foundation’s residence and we will establish together how you may get involved.
